Although my design skills level is low, I love it and spend a lot of time selecting the "right" form, color, or font.
So, yes, an editable icon feature sounds great for people who love design. I can´t say if it is a relevant feature for people who don´t care about design. Suppose it depends on the easiness to use. However, I don´t know if they are your buying persona.
About your second question, I am not an expert in video creation and editing either. So, I use easy tools when needed:
Filmora X is a simple and not very expensive editing tool
Loom for video recording. Additionally, yesterday a friend talked to me about recordcast.com which is similar to Loom Pro but cheaper. I want to give it a try.
Really appreciate your thoughtful answer on the icon feature. Super insightful! Your list of video apps is very helpful - it has a lot of apps that I haven’t checked out yet and I am keen to try them. I feel the newer apps have a better chance to understand audience like me who is not an expert on video creation and just want something simple to get started and get done.
