Happy Thanksgiving, my friends! I hope you had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed shopping for great deals or enjoyed snoozing on them! For me, it is somewhere in between: I copped a few video games to play later on, but on the other hand, it is hardly a deal since I have a backlog of games that will probably last till 2024!
Thanksgiving is a reminder for all of us to be grateful for the friends and family that we got in our lives! I am incredibly thankful to you, my readers! I am grateful that you spent the time of your day reading my newsletter and knowing that keeps me going.
Over the past four months’ journey, I was lucky to get to know some of you more in person. I have gotten encouragement and engaging discussion with John (who now I know to call by your nickname Jake) late in the nights; collaborated on an article piece on Coding Font with Ivana and learned lots about SEO from you; befriended Prashil on Twitter, where he recommended my newsletter and my cofounder Hua’s newsletter to all his followers multiple times and listed us as female founders to watch – it is such an honor; chated with zidian257, who shared awesome tips with me about how to become a morning person, and shared my newsletter with their telegram followers; got tons of traffic sent from an article written by Chris, whose work my cofounder and I followed for years. I am so thankful to all of you! Thanks for your willingness to share, interact, and help!
A lot of my initial subscribers are friends I know in real life. Xiaofang, you are the first to reply to my very first newsletter, I Bought a Year of Time for $200,000, which was sent out to only nine subscribers at the time. Your encouragement stays with me till this day, 41 newsletters later! Marco, thanks for your great suggestion on how to improve my application video! And Peter, how surprised am I to find out that you opened so many of my newsletters! All of you went the extra mile to support a friend. I am learning from you how to be a better friend to others!
Last but not least, the top subscriber who clicked on the heart icon for every newsletter of mine, tweeted about my writing and promoted them on Reddit – my cofounder Hua! I am so thankful to have you on my side and share this journey with you! You are an awesome co-founder and partner in crime!
I didn’t mean to write a “filler” issue – I thought I would thank a few people and then dive deeper into the technical details of that compound path issue. I ended up writing an entire post because there are so many people to be thankful to, and even with that, I am sure I missed a few names. Stay tuned in! I promised to dive deeper into solving technical issues in upcoming issues, as I have a lot of tips to share!
