Happy Thanksgiving from Typogram! I wrote this post for last year’s Thanksgiving; today reminded me that we shared another year of a great journey together! I am tremendously grateful for your company. Thanksgiving is an adopted holiday to me, a holiday I have grown to love and appreciate over the years. It’s a reminder to reflect on who to thank for where we are today — wherever we are in our life; we didn’t arrive there on our own.
The world is not in its prime state at the moment. For starters there is so much turbulence in the tech world — FTX collapsed, major layoffs across the industry, and what is happening to Twitter. Venture capitalists are cutting back from startup investment. Many people are yelling, “winter is coming.”
If winter is coming, it is more than ever the time to be thankful. Thanksgiving happens to be around the time of year that winter is coming — before the snow falls and crops die, we raise a glass to celebrate the harvest, embrace what is to come, and get hopeful for the next great year.
Thanks to our pre-order customers
Thank you, our pre-order customers! I am forever grateful for your leap of faith in us. Buying our software before it is launched, gifting us your time to answer our questions, and encouraging us along the way. Developing a design app and the business around it with a small team of two is hard, but you made it easier!
Thanks to friends from the newsletter
My newsletter and Hua’s newsletter FontDiscovery introduced us to so many interesting souls. Thank you, our newsletter subscribers. You are here every step of the way, when we struggle, when we discover, when we fail and when we prevail. Your company comforted us and prompted us to keep on going.
Thanks to our families and friends
I don’t need to say more about you all, our families and friends. You were here before, and you will be here after. Thank you for being awesome.
Hear from You
I am celebrating Thanksgiving at my home, cooking some roasted lamb rack and having some wine. It is getting cold up here in New Jersey, and the leaves outside of my window are bright red. I opened my window to let some fall breeze in. How are you spending your Thanksgiving?
